The latest and possibly the last serious effort to cripple Obamacare through the courts has just failed.

On Thursday, for the second time in three years, the Supreme Court rejected a major lawsuit against the Affordable Care Act -- thereby preserving the largest expansion in health coverage since the creation of Medicare and Medicaid half a century ago.

The stakes of the case, King v. Burwell, were enormous. Had the plaintiffs prevailed, millions of people who depend upon the Affordable Care Act for insurance would have lost financial assistance from the federal government. Without that money, most of them would have had to give up coverage altogether. And the loss of so many customers would have forced insurers to raise premiums, seriously disrupting state insurance markets.

But two of the court?s conservatives, Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Anthony Kennedy, joined the court?s four liberals in rejecting the lawsuit in a 6-3 decision. Roberts delivered the opinion for the majority. And the decision was a concise, stinging rebuke of the plaintiffs, who contended that Congress intended to write a law that would leave so many people without coverage, and cause such disarray.

"Congress passed the Affordable Care Act to improve health insurance markets, not destroy them," Roberts wrote.

Hedge, What is your point. You love that flag, yet you seem to be wanting to putting the Dems down for using it?

Not sure I get your point. You think the DEms are right in using it?

I think it is a disgrace no matter who uses it but you only seem to think it is wrong when the Dems use it.

It's pretty much about the Democrats and news media rewriting history, but that's what they do.

Pity Really

No not really. It is about you being as two faced as the media. You want to love that piece of shit flag yet somehow you point out everytime a Dem Liked it.

Most of us Americans either like the flag or hate what it stands for. It is not a DEm or Republican thing.

Just like the stupid war in Iraq. You loved it when Bush was running it yet somehow it all went bad for you when obama followed the same misguided course.

The flag sucks no matter who likes it. Same as your stupid war.

I don't love the flag, its part of history  I was talking tongue in cheek in another thread in the general forum about it, being a smartass. It makes me no difference if its flying or not to me personally, I have never owned one or had a sticker on my vehicle either. Democrats used the flag as literature and now claim its racist, what a bunch of hypocrites

When did Democrats use the flag as literature? That doesn't even make sense? Do you mean that stupid button? The button you posted? The button you looked for on the internet? I've never seen that button before and I don't see where the democratic party copyrighted or trademarked the button, so it stands to reason that your the only one using the button as "literature".
What part of history does the flag represent that is so critical to the education of our youth?
Why is it so impossible for you to understand anything factually accurate? The flag never flew over the confederacy. Never ever ever hedge. It's not the confederate flag, period. The flag is most historically representational of the Ku Klux Klan. The KKK was the original domestic terrorist organization in the U.S. killing hundreds of innocent people and it doesn't bother you a bit that it flies over the South Carolina state Capitol because you align yourself with many of the same principles and racial hatred as the KKK, that's why you want it up.

The Iraq Resolution or the Iraq War Resolution (formally the Authorization for Use of Military Force Against Iraq Resolution of 2002,[1] Pub.L. 107?243, 116 Stat. 1498, enacted October 16, 2002, H.J.Res. 114) is a joint resolution passed by the United States Congress in October 2002 as Public Law No: 107-243, authorizing military action against Iraq.[2]

The WORST part of the Iraq war was the way the DEMOCRATS used our troops to be hung out to dry, pulling their support while they were on foreign soil fighting.
