So. Cal
found this pretty interesting.....here is the legend and below are the repsective records for each conf in each category.

VS BCS OOC: Games played against BCS conference teams from OTHER conferences.

VS NON-BCS 1A: Games against non-BCS conference 1A teams (WAC, MWC, etc., except Notre Dame)

VS 1AA: self explanatory. A loss here is embarassing.

VS BCS Top 25: Record vs BCS top 25 as of this week.

Top25 VS Top25: How the top 25 (BCS) in the conference fared against top 25 from other conferences

#teams with BCS OOC win: How many teams in the conference had at least one win against an OOC BCS conference team? This seemed like a good indication of the DEPTH of the conference vis-a-vis other conferences.

ACC:
4-10
17-6
8-1
1-6
0-1
3

Big East
11-7
15-1
6-0
0-4
0-0
7

Big Ten
6-4
20-3
5-2
2-6
2-0
4

Big 12
3-8
20-6
10-1
0-3
0-2
3

Pac 10:
6-4 (4 home games/6 road games)
9-3
5-0
5-7
3-2
5

SEC:
9-6 (9 home games/6 road games)
24-1
8-0
3-5
1-1
8

VS ND: Versus Notre Dame, ND is a special case that doesn't fit neatly into either of the above categories - they're not in a conference, but they're a cut above the average Non-BCS 1A, so they only show up in games against BCS top 25. For the record, ACC 0-2, Big Ten 1-3, Pac 10 1-2 vs ND.

think it's pretty clear the pac-10 and sec are the top of the heap this year.......then again, sec fans likely wont see it that way and say the pac-10 sucks and sec is the best, by far.

Good grief....you complain incessently about the SEC guys yet you continue yourself to post threads like this....it is perhaps the most absurd BS I have ever seen from both sides of a useless and pointless argument. Let it go already.

So. Cal
i posted this because i found it intersting and it just gives people an idea of records vs different categories of teams

i think you and i are fairly close on this topic.....there isnt much difference amongst the 6 bcs conf, each conf has their dogs and the great teams in each conf would be great teams in any conf......unfortunately sec fans think their conf has no bad teams, all their teams are vastly superior and every other conf is light years behind

it's as if you dare question the sec superiority it's like you killed a family member of theirs......plus it's hilarious to hear their reactions and im sure i'll hear about lsu vs arizona, as if i ever mentioned arizona in the same breath as lsu (funny thing is my account went up drastically when i hammered lsu 1-17 vs arizona)

So. Cal
thanks for the post gjn23, i thought it was pretty interesting. And a fair way to look at conference strength. Definitely should keep it in this forum for bowl games this season
