reverse psychology.....when you're on a team that is chitting the bed at some point in a game, anybody and everybody that's ever gambled has tried it.....or I should say used it as a tool to help to keep yourself from going crazy in this world of sports betting. I'm a big believer of keeping an even keel.....you put your money down and let nature run its course, but sometimes....no matter how hard you try...you just gotta bitch and whine a little......def. no harm in it once in awhile. Maybe I saw this wrong but lets see:

Your up 34-20 at the opponents 23 yard line and its 4th and 4 with 2:25 left. You decide to basically kneel on it and give it to them on the 25 with 2:10 or so left.

To me kicking that field goal is HUGE, if they go down and score....they then onside kick it. What if they get it? Now you are in panic mode cause they can tie, instead of making it a 3 score game and pretty much ending it.

Now I know Southern Miss isn't making anyone forget about the Colts but that is a weird decision. And on top of that you have Rod G. telling us its the 'classy' thing to do...WTF, your only up 14 with 2:00 left and your Houston, your defense is average at best.

LOL, I thought the exact same thing when Gilmore made his "classy" comment. What if USM had gotten a quick strike TD then recovered the onside kick. I know the odds are against it, but comebacks like that have happened before.
