You have the screwed the pooch and left an undefeated team who just beat a team that was ranked #1 for 5 weeks and fought with Florida who is playing for the national title in a tough game. You have left a bunch of 18-22 year olds who had dreams of doing something special left scratching their heads wondering why they cant play for the greatest accomplishment in College Football.

I THINK THE SUGAR BOWL IS A GREAT GAME AT THE END OF THE YEAR FOR THESE GUYS! LET THEM PLAY A HARDER CONF.SCHEDULE , PLAY A CONF. CHAMPIONSHIP GAME, THEN I WILL CONSIDER A TEAM LIKE UTAH WORTHY OF A SHOT AT A NATIONAL TITLE!

Sooo basically your saying that any small school from a small conference has no shot at winning a national title. They could go undefeated and outscore their opp. 1,000 to 100 and still not be considered cause of schedule strength that they cant control.
This is why college football is a joke. After all the games are done we still wont have a clear champ. Why not do a playoff system and leave no doubt, finish it on the field like every other sport. I know you think the Gators would roll Utah but we will never know. JMO, for what it's worth.

I ACTUALLY AGREE WITH A PLAYOFF TO A CERTAIN EXTENT, OR AT LEAST A "PLUS ONE GAME" BUT AT THE SAME TIME UTAH DOES NOT HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE STRENGTH OF SCHEDULE, INJURIES, ETC. THAT BCS CONF. HAVE TO DEAL WITH WEEK IN WEEK OUT. I HAVE THE UTMOST RESPECT FOR THE UTES, THEY BEAT BAMA ON BOTH SIDES OF THE BALL, BUT I STILL DON'T BELIEVE THEY WOULD FAIR AS WELL PLAYING IN OTHER CONFERENCES.

It's interesting to hear a Florida argue against Utah having a shot. That is why Urban Meyer left 4 years ago to go to Florida where he is in a good spot to win his second national championship. How about go back to the old bowl system and play a Plus one. Ultimate solution.......No but better than what we have now!

I think thats kind of the point, its all about what everyone thinks...not whats settled on the field. ur probably right about the utes or boise or tcu or whoever, but why not let it play out instead of us all just offering our opinion about who would beat who...

This post is crazy.Dont have to worry about injuries?? There are some good teams from the mountian conf.Let them have a playoff.

The way they drag it out,16 team playoff, winning 4 games makes a winner. If they can work in a bye for top 2teams great.
Winning 4 would answer the strengh of schedule arguement.

By the way ,whens the BCS national championship game next year or next week.Lets drag it out even more.
