Well, unfortunately Lalime came up with his worst effort of the year, but what can you do, nothing.
For the record, Alfie has been playing hurt with a bad hip, not really much has been said but it was the same thing with Yushkevich for the Flyers, he played the last 2 games with 2 broken fingers and a frozen shoulder due to the seperation in it and we all found out after the series was over.
Alfie has had cortizone shots in the hip all through the playoffs. When your motion is with the hips there is not much you can do. But it is at the point where he is hurting the team due to the pain, you can see the way skates, when he attacks the neutral zone he does not carry the puck with the same momentum as during the reg. season. He has had many practices off but that still has not helped.
As for some of the so-called experts in here, since when do you seperate PP and reg. strength points in total points. You can make any stat look they way you want it to support an argument, so give me a break.
I love how some people think they know more about a team than they really know, giving us a better breakdown than some coaches in the NHL.
So intead of taking a little info from 3 sports TV stations and a radio show and then mixing in your own so-called knowledge and then posting it as your own, get a life, looking for attention........quite pathetic.
I never overreacted to anything. So if anyone thinks I did, too bad and get lost. I am outta here, a few idiots over the playoffs have caused some of the best cappers to leave, hope you feel better, now maybe you can make less money next year than this year with quality info you won't get from others.
It is no surprise that Ace is not around in the hockey forum with a few idiots thinking they know it all.
NJ played a terrible first 2 periods but had the better goaltending today by far and away, the difference......period. Soft goals deflate your team, letting in the first shot in 3 of the 4 games is demoralizing for any team, just ask any NHLer at this time year......if you know of any!
Tough loss in the wallet today, down a couple of units with the juice for the playoffs but overall a great year. Getting out while I am ahead and I am not going to take lip service from anyone. For all of you who have e-mailed me(the dozens of you) thank you and I will be writing college football and basketball again in the fall for a few more major papers, I will let you all know in August.
I will post tons of info for the CFL very soon.
To all the Sens backers, my slogan to all the players who really did bring the desire and effort today "Have some pride, win game five" Extend the series as much as possible and maybe, just maybe they become the 20th team out of 140 to come back from 3-1 down. Have faith to the end and then get ready to support whatever team you root for next year!!
All the best to most of you!!
