First off, congrats to OHIO ST who surely looked great vs Oregon, and won it on the field

Is everyone happy with the new College Football playoff system?

I mean, it seems they got the teams they were supposed to, in (including OST in top 4), though perhaps not in the easiest, most sensible way (dropping TCU from 3 to 6 after winning)

What are people's thoughts on first year of playoff system, now that its all said and done?

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
Overall

Overall

Taking it out of the hands of "soul less" machines is a major victory for sport fans everywhere.

Some team will always feel they got robbed (TCU this year),some fans will cry for an eight team format.

We are talking college football here, unless network greed enters the
picture, 4 teams are plenty enough.

Love the new trophy, that crystal football was made for flag football.

In their first inaugural season, lets give the system an A-.

I agree. Regardless number of teams, someone will always cry thinking they deserved.

I like it

16 is way too many

8 sounds good in theory with 5 auto bids and 3 at large and top 5 getting home games before final 4 on new years day.......then you realize that had ua - mizzu-wisc-ga tech all won the final sat we'd be left with a below avg final 8 rendering 12 regular season and 8 or 9 conf games irrelevant and making 1 neutral site game thr be all end all for inclusion into the final 8

6 could be the next logical step in a few years with 1-2 getting byes into semis and 3-4 hosting 5-6 on a Sat in mid dec (right around kick off of bowl season, maybe army navy weekend and before any sat nfl games? )
