A nice win tonight. Cant say much more than that right now.

This hurts & hurts bad, but clearly you were the better team tonight.

A few things:

Colt McCoy has a whole lot to learn

T. Brown is an idiot & I would suspend his ass for the whole season since he played a major part in f'in up Texas season.

Our O-Line did a great job, our D-Line & LB's are overrated.

S. Young really impressed me running the ball, although that dropped pass in the 4th was crucial as I think he had the 1st or at least 7 more yards, making that FG much more makeable & potentially changing the game if the Horns get 7 on that drive.

J. Charles is an absolute stud & has Heisman potential next year.

Snead should get some time under center. I actually wouldnt mind rotating QBs the rest of year to see who we go with for the next 2 years.

Texas will still easily win the BIG 12 title.

About OSU.

Troy Smith is impressive, but that the announcers were comparing him to Vince is joke. Sorry Buckeye fans but Smith is not even in the same league as VY.

O-Line made some mistakes, but overall better than I expected.

Pittman is a nice fit for that offensive scheme. He is quite the compliment to that speed on the outside.

Your D-line needs some work, but your LBs were very good.

Ginn & Gonzo were as good as advertised. Deadly WR corps you guys have in Columbus.

Tressel's is a damn good coach, hats off to him.

Just a couple of my thoughts, I guess to dispute yours.

You say that Troy is not een comparable to Vince Young, however, I would say that Texas is a better team, overall, except the gap between McCoy and Smith is so huge that was the difference in the game. And this is coming from a BUCKEYE FAN!!!

I am so unimpressed with our defense, it is a complete fluke that we only gave up 7 points last night. If Texas had continued to run the ball to the outside, you would have scored A LOT more points. Our linebackers SUCK!! I dont care how many lucky plays Laurinaitis made......he didnt really "force" that fumble, and he just happened to be in the right place at the right time on the INT. Other than that, him and his cohort of LBs were getting tripped up at the point of attack as they drifted to the sidelines EVERY PLAY.

With that being said, the Texas defense is better that I thought they would be. Our offense is the best in the country, and that will be our lowest point production of the year. Believe it or not, I think Gonzalez is going to the a more productive receiver than Ginn in the NFL. And yes, Gonzalez with get his shot in the NFL. He is such a GREAT route runner.

I still worry about our defense......but hopefully Tress will get that worked out with the right players (because the better LBs are not starting right now) and maybe we can improve enough to run the table.......because the one game I was worried about besides this one (the Iowa away game)........they almost lost to freakin Syracuse, and I dont care if Tate played or not, that is pathetic.

I fully agree that the difference between McCoy & Smith is a HUGE HUGE gap, but again that being said Smith is no where near the talent or college QB that VY was....a simple way to gauge that is ask yourself does UT beat USC last year w/ Smith at the helm & not VY??? Not a chance. VY was a special special college player. He was just on another level.

After re-watching the game I may have been a little hard on our D. I still think the D-line could have played better, but it was obvious that having Brown out for this game just killed our D. The Griffins couldnt play there normal game due to having to cover up for the inexperience at the on CB position.

Plus the INT was basically a gift 7 for OSU, & you also had a short field after the fumble at the 1 yard line, so all in all the UT D wasnt to blame really.

The one area that UT did excel was punt coverage.

Gonzoles was super impressive other than one dropped pass he played a nearly perfect game.

Still my hats off to OSU for coming into Texas a beating the Horns. A great win for you guys. Your boys deserved it last night.

Thank you for you kind words! We ARE proud of our team and coaching staff!

Not to be the master of the obvious BUT:

This thing could have been a lot different if not for that lost fumble.

The Buckeyes came in and did not turn over the ball. Coach Holtz in pregame said we would win mainly because of Troy Smith. He is a class act and has learnt from his errors.

However..........................................

IF I was told before the game that Texas would out - rush us 172 -88 yards I would have figured we would lose the game.

Thanks again & Best of Luck the rest of this season.

A quote I heard last night made to a UT fan, "UT would win this game and the National Championship if they'd just let me be the starting QB. (How Come?) Well, they wouldn't allow me to attempt a pass and would be forced to run the ball every play."

Selvin and Jamaal avg'd 6 yards per carry. UT O-line is really solid. OSU offense really good. Ginn and Gonzo had no problem getting wide open. Smith was consistent.

Being a Tech fan I was really hoping to see that UT's Defense really wasnt as good as advertised but I think they are. I think OSU just played better and I don't think we will have the same kind of success against UT as OSU did. I just hope that UT throws the ball 30+ times against us because they would slaughter us if they lined up and ran the ball 60 times. Oh, and our pass defense is horrible.

Gotta nurse this headache a little more, OT and alcohol has my head vibrating more than the upright that we banged the field goal off of.

I think Troy Smith is a better passer than V Young. Smith really didn't showcase his running abilities last night because he didn't need to. But physically, Young is so much bigger than Troy Smith.

last night's win should have silenced a lot of doubters...and 3 secs I know the disappointment you feel due to the fact that the longhorns came into the shoe and beat OSU and personally I think we had a better team last year...tell you what though I will be a huge Longhorn fan when they face the Sooners...I can't stand Okie...could be one of the most over-rated teams of all time...

I think the same could be said about VY and his throwing ability. The running game of Texas was amazing last year and the OL kept Vince so protected that he could usually run the ball with ease.
