Thanks Maverick for thread. As for MLB, I already posted and placed big bet on NY Yankees. $500 to win $1,250.

I am thinking about betting the Angels to win it all at over 10-1. They look really good! I love rooting for them so I may throw some $$$ on them. Maybe $100 to win 1k.

I am thinking about betting the Spurs at +183 for 1k. Still gonna do some research and make sure Duncan is ok etc. But that looks like a real solid bet but most I will put on that is 1k if I bet it all.

As for CFB, I have posted here and placed USC to win it all $750 to win $1,875.

If USC ever goes to 2-1 to win it all, I will put the 10k I win tonight on USC. I am VERY confident in USC winning it all next year. Spring practice has started @USC and the offense is tearing the defense to shreds and this is with the backup QB (booty) not Leinart. Remember, the USC defense is pretty talented as well so its been impressive. 2nd string offensive players at USC will be future NFL draft picks. Pretty loaded.

All in all, I love my 2 remaining future bets and I will be shocked if both Yankees and USC don't win it all in their sports.

i always willing to give credit where its due, and scott knows (or at least should know) that i like him and am in no way saying hes not a capable capper.

but im a little hesitant to be offering props for betting

* the preseason #1 in college football to win the title
* the clear cut #1 and #2 teams in college bball to win the title
* the odds on favorite in major league baseball to win the title
* the odds on favorite to win the nba title

i didnt look in the at the track forum, but im assuming he had smarty jones in the final leg of the triple crown as well (kidding)

no disrespect intended. but these arent earth shattering results. if washington was playing for the national title tonight at those 40/1 he bet, then id be the first in line to buy scott a few beers and some shots. but usc, illinois/unc, spurs, and yankees? hell, they SHOULD win.

You are right in the sense that I took teams that should win and neither were longshots (except for maybe UW back in Jan.) My big risk was the size of $$$ I wagered and potentially could have lost. At the end of the day, its about winning $$$.

I said ALL year UNC and Illinois were in a class by themselves so I put my money where my mouth was. Now they didn't blow out their opponents to get to finals but both made it there.

The object was that at least one of those 2 (who I said was in elite status) would win it all. IN ADDITION, you got to take 4 other talented teams to save your a$$. The funny thing was I almost took UL 32-1 odds for $200 but instead put that $200 on GT at 20-1 odds. I was soooo damn close to taking UL but then after researching I came to the conclusion they seem to fade at end of year and GT could get super hot when Elders comes back. Thank god UL didn't win because I be kicking myself for LONG time.

Kansas, WF, GT, and UW were my other 4 teams. I thought I was pretty crafty the way I set this all up. They all let me down, not one of them made elite 8.

But no offense taken gman2. If I think Spurs are almost a lock to win it all, then +183 is SUPER BET! If I think the only thing I am risking is INJURIES, then I will pound Spurs. I am going to look into the situation.

Same with my Yankees and USC bet. I think the only risk I am taking is injuries and at +250 each, I think its worth the risk. If both teams stay injury free (like UNC and Illinois) then they have a VERY HIGH PROBABILITY of winning it all IMO.
