So you are some sharp simply cause you fade the public....give me an f'ing break. :mj07:

I really can not stand those that just sit there & go anti public & consider them selves a sharpie.

we are not the public!!!

then who the fu.ck is? I know there are alot of peoples on here that think they are sharps or whatever but they are not....we're all the betting public....i'm assuming theres not too many on here that throw around 5 and 10 dimes on games consistently except don wallace:142smilie or make a significant impact on lines.......

just because we ARE the public does not mean people don't bet differently or have different capping style....my def. of a so called "square" is someone who blindly bets favorites....your square is your plumber who when you ask who's gonna win the xmas game they say "Cowboys roll dude"......

only thing I look for is % of bets on one side.....you see it all the time when a line gets hammered down and those same bettors will hammer it back up trying to middle, obviously these mysterious men have some leverage.........bettors have more information available to them now then ever before via internet and AR182....so peeps are getting smart, the blind betting public is slowly fading, doesnt mean people still arent losing

who cares what i'm trying to say, we have a game tom. to go over........good night public:mj07:

Absolutely squares can be on underdogs! Happens all the time. Public pounded New England, Philly and Jets this weekend and they all covered. Good luck!

I do not fade the public. Rarely if ever do I fade them...it might keep me off of a play but won't bet the other side. The General Public wins about 48% of the time so you certainly can't fade them. But with all that being said, the general public has fared very well so far in the bowl season. Good luck!

the fact of the matter is that most of the "public" didn't even know there was a bowl game last night. All the money last night was from gamblers, the casual player bets after new years.

Another point to consider here is that the line wasnt really "bet down" from 11 - 7.5. Vegas actually took the game off the board trying to determine what effect the coach from CMU leaving and not being present at the game would have on the game itself. The sharp money and the it looks like the public money closed the line at up a couple points.

my two cents...

sharps don't always win, squares don't always lose.

and sometimes the sharp play "is" the public play.

almost identical to this central michigan game was the rice game. rice went from 7 to 4 over the first two weeks, and then spiked up to 6?(i believe) on gameday.

differrent results in both cases.

there are many times i try to be "sharp" and pass on an easy winner. there are also many times after a loss, where i feel so "public".
