Sure a lot of peeps had both #1 seeds in their bracket making Final 4. I had Notre Dame +11 & Wisky +1.5 ATS today and was happy. Tomorrow, feel like a lot of peeps will be backing the dogs as I talked to a couple players tonight backing both dogs because they covered today. I know my friend just placed his wagers on Louisville & Gonzaga very large after getting killed tonight backing chalk. Here are my thoughts...
Michigan State vs. Louisville should be closer to a pick'em or Spartans -1 to -1.5. Spartans playing very well right now, but should have lost Friday as OU had them beat and played like crap down the stretch. Cards still worst team in the field ATS going like 13-19-2 ATS after 2 straight covers and line should continue to drop. Worst odds to win it all before games began today was Louisville at +1725. Snider and Rozier playing very and Harrell was incredible in Sweet 16 vs NC State. However, I like Michigan State myself. Izzo is so solid at this point through his career in Elite 8 games going 6-2 including a loss last year vs. UConn. He's a warrior, but facing another warrior and between Pitino and him they have 13 Final 4's last I checked. Epic coaching matchup with 3 titles between them. However, Spartans played like crap Friday and won, plus they have Magic Johnson behind their bench (not this matters much, but helps!) Just feel Spartans will find a way to prevail with a bunch of Seniors. Cards have already overachieved and why is the #7 seed even favored? Because they're going to win!
Lean towards Michigan State -1.5 (-120) if I could grab this line. Can't see this line staying at 2.5, but 2 makes sense... If line goes up, will be rethinking as this should be a very close game. Goes to 3.5, tough to not buy Cards to 4.
Gonzaga vs. Duke - Last time I checked, Coach K is a legend at this point in this career. This is his 14th Elite 8, 14th! He's 11-3 in Elite 8 games and has 4 titles. He doesn't lose this game much. Gonzaga just beat a UCLA team who played awful. The Bruins should have lost to SMU but received a BS call. Duke is going to beat Gonzaga and beat them by at least 3 points IMHO. Gonzaga has NEVER made a final 4 and will be caught up in the hype and moment and their 7 footer Karnowski will not dominate again. I see Duke winning 75-67 type game and maybe worse. Gonzaga is a nice story, but it ends Sunday IMHO.
