Congratulations to Kentucky for making the Final Four. Good luck this week in the national semifinals and, possibly, the finals. Good luck in the future, too, that your Final Four appearance stands up to NCAA scrutinity. Your coach, John Calipari, hasn't had much luck with that. He took Massachusetts to the 1996 Final Four, but the NCAA vacated that appearance. He took Memphis to the 2008 national title game, but that got vacated as well. Now Kentucky has back-to-back Final Four appearances under Calipari and the NCAA clock is ticking.

At least he has a sense of humor about it. When he turned 53 several months ago, he joked that that wasn't his age: "Two years got vacated, so I'm 51."

Kentucky has settled in as an 8.5 point favorite in Saturday's semifinal against Louisville. That's the biggest point spread in a Final Four game since Duke was favored by 11 over Michigan State in the 1999 national semifinal.

Kentucky beat Louisville at home 69-62 back on December 31st as a 10 point favorite. 52 fowls were called in that game. I look for this one to be physical also.
