Several days ago the House of Representatives added a provision to a spending bill that would prevent French, German or Russian companies from receiving American taxpayer dollars for work done in the restoration of Iraq. Congress is going to be spending billions of dollars ? and they didn?t see any good reason to have this money flowing to French companies.

Well ? that provision has now been dropped from the spending bill. It looks like the door is now open for American taxpayer dollars to flow to the French, Germans and Russians to pay for restoring and rebuilding Iraq. Congress says the point was made. Yeah ? sure it was. And I?m sure the French are so very sorry for taking Saddam?s side.

just look at the protests....police have no power on the street anymore....absolutely no fear of the law due to liberal judges

I expect to be jumped on by this but I notice that these right wing media nut jobs are not really republican oriented but Bush oriented. They are just as fast to jump on a Republican as anybody else who questions or goes against anything the administration says. Hell, if you listened to limbeagh or Fox during the Presidential primaries you would of thought that McCain was a war criminal instead of a prisoner.

Mr Feinstein my senator and congress man Ron Kind just were sent letter by me. Even if they are Dem's. I told them no vote from me if they let any bill pass that lets the French back in play.
I could look other way with Germany because they do allow our bases there. They let supplies to flow through there country as needed for Iraq. They help with our hospital where many of our wounded soldiers go. I said and you can look at some of my back posts. If Bush lets the French back in the door we should fire him at once. This was before war started. For those of you who know who your senators an congress folks are send them a letter.
What France did and is still doing is a big risk to our security.

This is wonderful. The French and Russians are going to have talks this weekend on what there role will be in helping Iraq after the war. Good deal we can go home now it's all under control. I hope the right that has the majority stands up to the French. This soft line starting to come out of Wash is pissing me off. Were up to 100 dead in this dam war. The French can kiss our butts.

Another case of the truth being stranger than fiction. The longer I live the more I have come to believe that we really don't have a two party system. We are much closer to a one party system. There are so few people in the House or Senate that will even stand up for what the majority of their constituents believe in. Seems like everybody is in it to make a buck. I'm just waiting for the trickle down, but doubt if it will ever come this far.

Ferdville here are some numbers just out that will get twisted as many ways as possiable. Congress will use them both to push for items. But the left will say wait things are not that full of roses.
Bush approval over all 72% for handlng af war.
Bush overall period 67%.
Both of these seen on FOX
Bush approval after are success in Afganistan 82%
You can see some will argue the numbers are dropping.
Bush handling of our economy 44% approve.
All four of these were shown on MSNBC. If I had not seen them there I would not got them all from FOX.
What do I think. Well I said a couple of times if this war end next week Bush's approval rating will drop fast. Then I was asked why. I said unemployment and the economy.
That 44% tells it all. His father had same problem and it cost him.
I do think we may have this take alittle longer then some wish. They always say you can learn from history. Cant blame a son learning from his father not to make same mistake. You can see what I mean how both sides of congress will use and twist these numbers.
It should add fuel as to why no French companies should get a thing. Our economy and unemployment should help keep congress on edge.
