Jim Calhoun calls UMASS a better team this year than last years edition that dictated tempo and upset the "Huskies" ??69-67?? Rashaun Freeman is their leader and the offense runs through him...he'll touch on every possession..3 score in double figures and despite size disadvantages they rebound pretty well............Now CT has got to be favored heavily because they are home and have lots more size, talent, and depth, speed etc.
Problem Jimmy C has is getting 40 minutes..CT has a habit of playing to the level of the competition and sometimes that hurts them ....(Army game)
Well, There is a little problem of a celebration on top the scorers table after LY Mass W by Rashaun Freeman. Calhoun says he should have celebrated ..CT players remember and are seeking a little payback.. SO WHAT..if Mass can dictate tempo again its not going to be a 20 point game.........................BUT............I watched CT beat the crap out of Texas Southern in last ....AND
for the first time in my memory I watched these guys play a (near perfect game) for 40 min and have great fun. (113-49) poor Tex Southern but it was catchy and they really let em have it..........56-28 edge on boards....10.. 3s ...55% shooting...12 steals 17 blocks...couldn't be stopped except by foul....Thats not CT basketball (even against Texas Southern)....they go up 15-20....back to single digits....etc. SOOOOOOOOOO I'm banking on 1.CT has much more talent 2. Had lots of fun in last game and will look to continue to bury people.. at least 1 more time 3. A little revenge will get them started on their way. I'm thinking 80-58 (something like that..maybe more)...CT focus is DEFENSE-Offensive rebounds...if they stay on a roll they cover.. if they don't I lose (no kidding) like last year :s4: .....also...too easy to like Mass. in this "rivalry" game + the big points. We'll see..

I like Georgetown as well!
