Clearly, I was way off on the election. From all signs it was a huge success. Let's all hope it is a step in spreading more moderate thinking in some circles in the Middle East.

As far as the Elvis retiring, don't worry about it. Hard work brings you closer to God anyway.

I am not so much worried about the cost of the war. Security costs a lot of money so if the *correct* decision is made to go to war, then do it right. Plus, the vast majority of that money goes back to defense contractors like Northrup-Gruman and Hughes anyway, which ultimately stimulates the American economy on some level.

In my opinion we should judge the war on whether it makes sense for the long term good of the country and whether we are doing more good than harm. Financial concerns should come second in a country this financially prosperous.

I dunno, Freeze, while Augusta sounds nice, how are you gonna decide which of your fellow Madjacksters get first crack at your living room floor during Masters week?

If its politics, I'm totally screwed...LOL.

but if you go by handicaps......hummmmm...

agree with you in part nick, however i am not sure what the elections will mean in Iraq

it was nice to see the enthusiasm of the people however

also think the funding of the war should in part come from Iraqi oil in this instance.....we rebuilt much of their infrastructure and we should be paid for at least a portion of that

what i get tired of hearing, is how this money could be spent somewhere else like "health care" "welfare" etc.

this $$ for the most part went into the hands of US families and paid for their healthcare and welfare and they WORKED for it

like all Americans should do
