Conspiracy theory I. -- The Sharpe Incident

Did you think that injury to Sharpe looked at least a bit intentional?

It looked like Romanowski locked Sharpe's arm against his body and just dropped his weight on it. I saw it when he went down and I thought it was broken when they showed a shot of sharpe just sitting there with his arm bent.

They watched the replay 50 times and Madden and Michaels were COMPLETELY OBLIVIOUS that he was injured until they got the report from the sideline.

It's not fair to dislike Romanowksi because I've never met him. But, even if you believe he never used the term "nigger", he did spit in Terrell Owens face. He's admitted, IIRC, to taking roids. Terrell Owens is one of the most classless guy's in the NFL but Romanowski isn't even fit to shine his shoes.

Obviously, I can't argue whether it was intentional or not because we'll never know for sure, but given that it was Roman and seeing that arm locked against his body...you just don't get the feeling that Roman likes Owens or Sharpe and probably not Moss or Johnson or any other big talkers.

I think Romanowski is trash. That said, I think him locking Sharpe's arm against his body was an attempt at making sure Sharpe didn't catch the ball and therefore a good football play, not an obvious attempt to injure him. As for him dropping all of his weight on Sharpe, in the course of the play, I'm not sure what else he could have or should have done.

I really think you're reaching here.

maybe so -- anyone else except romo and i don't think twice about it. guys lock arms all the time, but it really looked like romo locked it onto his body and dropped down on it.

just looked dirty. I suppose if it bothered Sharpe, we'd be hearing from him, though.

Romanowski

Romanowski

Romanowski does play rough!! I think it is a combination of football and lifes lessons that he delivers. You are correct in saying that he tries to punish the talkers in the league. On this and the spitting incident, he and I agree. I wish it could have been Romanowski that caused the early celebration by #20 in the Ravens game to become a lost fumble.
