for those who don't know, we have been experiencing all time low temperatures in Eastern Massachusetts this past week. Schools were even closed Friday because temperatures with wind chill approached -40 degrees. Literally it ever been that cold around here.

Anyway the forecast had been for Sunday to warm up to an minimum of 34 degrees which wouldn't be that bad.

Channel 10 out of Providence, which is only 15 miles from Foxboro is now (as of10 o'clock a.m.) calling for 2-4in of snow tomorrow. Obviously that would have a gigantic factor on the game. Could be another snow Bowl like Oakland couple years back.

weather people absolutely suck around here as far as getting out a correct forecast, but all week no snow has been forecast, now 24 hours before game and snow is definitely looking like a strong possibility. I'll keep posting any changes in weather.

same here in Philly..cold..very cold
but sunday..temp will be a little higher.. maybe around 34
but Philly game late in day..so will be very cold

checked a couple of sites and it looks like about 85% chance of snow showers leading up to and during game time. expected accumulation 2 inches. also 8-10 mph winds and temps in the mid 30s, which means wet snow.

gotta think reduced visibility and a slippery ball would increase the chance of fumbles, bobbled snaps, muffed punts, etc.

i believe these conditions combined with the Pat D will slow down Manning and force the colts into a field position game. Both have been weaker running teams......lots of punts?????

Will there be a safety? YES +1050

Belichick also took a strategic safety this yr, and its happened in the playoffs before

Alternate spread: under 37.5 +185

total wager on weather and Pats D at home. plus the hook above two key numbers 36/37.....maybe Vanderjagt streak ends here?

Thanks for the info. You would think the snow would have a greater effect on payton eh? I have a horrid service this year that is hitting about 40% of their picks. The scary thing is their final pick of the year is new england!

they are calling for 2-4 inches. Its a coastal storm which is hard to predict. If it goes out to sea less, if it comes in more. The problem is when the weather people say less we usually get more.

ok guys, its looking and more like snow tomorrow, now all media in Boston/Providence calling for 4in of wet snow tomorrow. When the game starts there should be already 1in on the ground and almost all forecast say snow will fall throughout the game yielding total of 4in, almost a Raider/Patriots sequel.

Indianapolis has been playing tremendously well, there offense is spectacular, but it is devised & depends on timing & reading. Snow will complicate timing for Indianapolis and what little chance they had to win tomorrow s game will fade with the snow.

I know Indianapolis has played awesome last 2 weeks against Denver & Kansas City, its difficult, but forget you even saw that . I know Colts haven't punted in 2 weeks etc. etc. I know they are 8-1 on the road (which is extremely good). But please believe what I say is true in the following facts.

Here is what I have been thinking about but not sure how much of a factor it will be. As said the temp has been frigid here. Today, all though snowing and it could turn to rain, it feels like a spring day. The Pats have been in this frigid weather for so long that our bodies have adjusted somewhat too it. Today, the temp should feel comfortable to the Pats while the Colts might be finding it cold. I dunno, just thought I would throw that out.

well channel 10 was right, definitely snowing, snowing very hard as of right this minute. Big wet flakes coming down at a pretty good rate. Cover coming off field as I write this, so fielded will definitely be effected. I would say 1.5in already on ground.

not sure we're you folks are looking, but the big consensus site I use is Indianapolis 55%. Smart book I use is Pinnacle and they are taxing that New England -3, -25 cents, that's giant. Nobody wants to roll that number to a 2.5
