court postion?

At the start of the game is how does one determine the side at which they defend or shot for, do they always shot at the basket that is in front of their bench or is there some type of coin flip?

i know the tip-off determines who gets the ball first but which basket?

in basketball, the home court has a designated basket, no matter what.

the side that the home bench is on is designated as the 2H bench. in the 1H the Home team shoots on the Visitors side, and the Visitor shoots on the Home side.
