Everyone bashed Gov Abbott for getting rid of the ban on masks a couple of months ago. And they were wrong. Cases continued to decline. Stay with the facts.

Today Texas reported:

* 0 Covid related deaths--the only time that's happened since data was tracked in March, 2020.

* the fewest Covid cases in over 13 months

* the lowest 7-day Covid positivity rate ever

* the lowest Covid hospitalizations in 11 months.

I wonder why these states that were more open and fully opened sooner are far ahead of the backward states that were the most stringent on rules?

Masks don't work.

I thought hedgehog would always be the guy on here with the dumbest and most un-educated comments. But I gotta admit with the dumb shit homedog keeps posting, he might steal the trophy from hedgehog. He still has some work to do to hit the hedgehog moronic level, but he might be the winner when all is said and done.

Hell, even hedgehog who said Covid was a hoax would acknowledge masks actually do something.

Keep doing what you are doing Sixfive, it must suck to be surrounded by all that death and misery. But on the plus side, no need to wear a mask, so at least you'll be more comfortable at work, so at least that's something.

Whenever Joe Glickman heads out for groceries, he places an N95 mask over his face and tugs a cloth mask on top of it. He then pulls on a pair of goggles.

He has used this safety protocol for the past 14 months. It did not change after he contracted the coronavirus in November. It did not budge when, earlier this month, he became fully vaccinated. And even though President Joe Biden said on Thursday that fully vaccinated people do not have to wear a mask, Glickman said he planned to stay the course.

In fact, he said, he plans to do his grocery run double-masked and goggled for at least the next five years.
