Had a good night, plus 1200, plus 600 for the week. Games all day at all types of crazy times...... see one off the bat I like in IVY:

Princeton- Already whooped up on Brown last meeting so I wont look for a blowout. Princeton won last 7 of 10 while Brown has won 4 of last 10. I hate Ivy league and I hate road favorites but gonna take a wild shot here only laying a basket. Dont have much other reasoning cause I dont follow Ivy but more a gut feeling like the Cavs last night. 65-58

damn ivy league, i think i see another:

Cornell- Harvard dropped their last 7 games, even though they played Penn and Princeton to the wire. Seems as if they only "play" against the better teams. Cornell has a good record in past history against Harvard and they already beat them by 2 earlier this year. So even if Harvard does win, I think it wont be by more than a few baskets. Ill gladly take the 6.5 here. Either way it should be a tight game. Ill even say Harvard gets a shocking win:
74-70

fuk me with all this ivy league:

Yale- Yale is outstanding at home 10-1 and they have beaten Penn twice straight up at home the past 3 seasons (2-0). Penn plays great first half ball then dies the second half. I see a small lead for Penn going into the half but that changes late in the second half. Im looking for the Bulldogs to pull a possible "W" at home. Yale 65-63.

Going against the grain:

Wichita St: Indy St should run out of gas in the second half agaisnt a team who is well rested unlike them. Wichita already man-handled them and I see the same happening here. DD win for Wich. 74-60.

FIU- The Golden Panthers have struggled a bit on offense but could slow down N.O. enough on D so that Almonte can whip up his averaging double-double to lead FIU to a small marginal victory. Shouldnt be high scoring so Ill say 62-58 FIU. If you have the option of betting money lines, may be a wiser choice. I bet with a local so the option isnt there for me. Ill take the 1.5 hopefully 2 by gametime.

Ill-Chic- Two very evenly matched teams so something has to give and it looks to be Wisc Greenbay down the stretch. Wisc Greenbay is lucky to even be where they are due to inconsistant basketball. Their true colors should show in the end. Flames by 7

I almost exclusively cap the Ivy games, and I like both the Cornell and Princeton picks. Cornell almost seems too obvious with Harvard's recent struggles. If Gore and Collins are cold outside, it could be trouble for Cornell, but they clearly have the guns to keep up if not win outright.

Agree with your Princeton write-up. Tigers have really turned it around after a horrible start to the year. I wouldn't lay -6, but at less than a basket, I'm game.

On the other side of the Yale game, though. I just think Penn is in a different class than the rest of the Ivy teams, and the Quakers know a loss here could open the door for Princeton. I'm aware of Yale's success at home and I'd be lying if I said that wasn't a concern. But Penn is just better all around, and I think they come out focused and ready to rumble.

thanks for your insight, too bad we disagree on Yale. I live 20-25 min from their campus and have been to a game there so im strongly routing for them. Like I said the thing that concerns me with Penn is that they dont put anyone away lately. They couldnt put away Harvard, Dartmouth, or Columbia in the past 3 weeks. Theres no doubt they are the best team in the IVY and sometime I think that gets to their head. But who knows they could blow them out like Feb 4th.

p.s. where did u come up with the "I wouldnt lay 6" to Brown??

The "wouldn't lay 6" comment was just to show that I think Princeton wins, but I think it will be a 4-7 point win. So I wouldn't lay a bunch of points, but have no problem laying 1.5. They're better but as we all know they don't score a whole lot of points (although that has seemingly become less of an issue has the season has progressed).

I'm also taking Columbia tonight. Been a while since I actually played all four Ivy games in a night, and when I do it comes in the form of exclusively road teams. Hoping that's not a bad sign...
