just like major league baseball for all teams which had more strikeouts (41,207) than hits for the season, the national league series thru 4 games is far worse than the regular season.
so far thru the 4 games there have been 62 hits, but there have been 90 strikeouts and a bunch of players taking 3rd strikes on 1-2 counts, 2-2 counts, which seem to lean toward the umpire expanding the strike zone as these players would swing at anything close with 2 outs and a count anything but 3-2.
have not checked the AL as it may be totally different.
will books soon be offering a strikeouts to hits prop?
