creating your own -1

I believe I read in a thread a few weeks back how you can essentially create your own -1 run line by betting both the ML and RL -1.5.

Do you just match up the money 'to win' on both? Looking for an explanation. Thank you!

NYY -150 Tor +140
NYY -1.5 +120 Tor +1.5 -130


150/100 on yanks ML + 100/120 Yanks RL = 250/220 Yanks -1

team A are -130 favorites with a -1.5 run line at +160.

100/130 = 0.769 (we use 130 because that's the money line)
0.769 + 1.0 = 1.769
100/1.769 = 56.53
