EUGENE, Ore. -- Oregon forward Ian Crosswhite has been dismissed from the team after being suspended last week.
Coach Ernie Kent suspended the 6-foot-11 junior from Australia indefinitely on Wednesday for an undisclosed violation of athletic department policy. Kent announced on Tuesday that Crosswhite would not return. No details were released.
Kent said only that Crosswhite will remain at the university and retain his scholarship. Crosswhite is a political science major on track to graduate this summer.
Crosswhite averaged 8.4 points and 5.7 rebounds per game with 17 starts in 19 games this season. A redshirt during the 2001-02 season, he averaged 9.3 points and 3.8 rebounds in his first season.
