My wife and I are going on the Carnival cruise to the Carribean. I know you use UR credit card for drinking and such but does anyone know about the casinos? Do they swipe it off your credit card or do you use cash as you would in Vegas? The brochure has me alittle confused as it says all you need $ for is drinks and the island stops to go snorkling and such but it says nothing about the casino. Any help would be appreciated...but my thinking tells me its strickly cash at the tables. Thx guys

Skeeter everytime I went they give you what is called a supercard. It obviously is linked to a credit card. You were allowed to get up to a certain amount of cash on it for the casino. There were atm's on the ship also. Just get to know pit boss or casino manager. On Royal Carribean they comped really good. My new wife lost us a new cruise.
There are few vacations any better than a cruise. It can be a real blast, especially if you are with friends. If you are going it alone, may take a lot of the fun out of it. I think cruise lines are somewhat different in how they handle gambling. I'd call before I left. Biggest traps are all of those "special" drinks they serve everyday where you get to keep the glass for souvenir, etc. Can run up quite a tab, especially if you are buying for others. ANother gambit is the pictures they take of you every 5 minutes that they want to seel to you the next day. Keep your wife away from those or it will cost you hundreds. Eat your meals on the ship. Why go into port and spend good money on food when they get it free on the boat. If you are going with friends, make sure they know all the extra expenses so you won't be [icking up their tabs halfway througjh. You will have a great time!
