just adding this in but teams do this all the time. If a player is dealt or moves on many teams will try to contact them or have players contact them in order to get hints at the teams calls. Most teams sign guy before he gives up the info though. Hell Antonio Pierce gave the giants the entire redskins playbook a few years ago. They new the signals as well as the redskins did that day.
I think it is a shitty way to go about things for Favre but different strokes for different folks I guess.....
