Just trying to be impressed with AZ and I'm not!
Most of their starters would ride the pines at CT and get brief minutes jmho.... Rodgers, Fox, Redjovic (sp).
Its early and stuff happens but if CTs big men play tonight (they sat the bench with foul concerns much of last game) then Az will be under 40% for sure...Last night they were under 30%. Hassan Adams is very good but CT's Rudy Gay is better (opinion) Boone will be the second best on the court.....and Hilton Armstrong and Ed Nelson are strong defenders and will run the court with any big men...Denham Brown had a vg pre season and looks to be off to a good start (18 last night) along with strong impact freshman Jeff Adrian (11 in limited action) Who are the shooters, scorers for AZ.....they graduated last year. I don't think AZ can outrun CT ...can't outshoot them, and my guess is that CT will outrebound them as well.
TURNOVERS could be the demise of CT tonight as inexperience at the point will cost the Huskies somewhere along the line....BUT not tonight...
CT is # 3 for a reason!

In a recent interview, Jim Calhoun was asked about Uconn's chances tonight vs Arizona...

Calhoun replied, "We're loaded....for bear!"

Get 'em, bear!

I was waiting for this. . . you can't tell me you are over-joyed with the line for this one. . . it is VERY obvious the books are looking for UConn money tonight. I knew they would get yours given your bloodlines but the books are after everyone else as well. Not a good sign for you IMO but of course the game still has to be played.

Good luck!

nickel dont think this line is off at all. uconn is missing its starting point guard. they turn the ball over every other play the first 2 games... it is like a football team playing without it starting qb..

Joey, the way the line came out, it was looking for UConn money by making Arizona the slight favorite. I can't imagine too many from this forum saying otherwise.

19 turnovers in 1st game
22 in second game

not good. if uconn had williams they would be 5-6 point fav..

nickel u know what you are doing...i just think uconn will have a very tough time and i think the line is right on

Well,
The game will be played by the players in spite of whose money the bookmaker wants and I do consider that. Bookmaker seems to wants AZ money as CT seems to be the public choice and I'm not crazy about going with the majority but its the bloodlines...

Now ....WHO besides Hassan is big league at Arizona?? I don't know them well enough but I do know that their studs graduated last year........I don't know much....but I do know that CT has most of theirs back....point may cause trouble but man for man CT the choice............should be a good game

Nice job bear! As always, you know that school inside and out.

I've also seen you post several wins playing against UCONN. Imprresed with how you can step back and make the right call time after time.

I tagged along, thanks. Hope you have a great holiday season.
