CU -2 1/2
This number is about 7 points too low. The Buffs have 8 seniors on scholarship and 10 all together. They return 100% of scoring and rebounding. More importantly, the Buffs had 17 steals vs. UNCW! With the Rams converting to a new "up-tempo" offense and with 2 freshman and 2 juco guys in the starting line-up, the Buffs should be able to force plenty of turnovers tonight. Layer is also switching defenses and pressing full court. CU has the experience to handle it. CU has won 5 in the series and the senior loaded team should not lose this one in Ft. Collins. Yes it's WAAAYYY early, but I think this is a strong play.

One more thing.. Mobey Arena isn't much of a home court advantage. CSU students care about about football and beer.. not hoops.

Think CU can stop the big Smith kid?

no doubt Smith is a big time player and he'll get his points. CU doesn't have a 7 footer and they'll bang a couple of 6-9 guys at him. On the other end, CSU is hoping that with a more spread defense teams will be forced to the paint where he can effect shots. That being said, he's the only proven player on this team that is changing every which way and until he gets some help..

Some crazy line movement though has me a bit scared. :look:
