I am looking to play the Cubs/Cards O8.5 but would like other input on this game before deciding. Teams combined for 21 hits tonight but left many stranded runners. Suppan's ERA is much higher at home 4.6 compared to 1.9 on the road. Clement's ERA is much higher on the road 3.4 compared to 2.4 at home; I sat behind home his last start in Milwaukee and he was somewhat wild and looked a little tired. We also have help behind the plate...P. Schreiber behind the plate is 13-3-1 for overs this year. Also Aramis Ramirez might be back for the game. All these variables point to an over play.

Only thing holding me back is the fact Cubs and Cards have both gone under their last 6 games. Comments are appreciated - solid play or layoff??

Cubs vs. Cards (Sat.)

Cubs vs. Cards (Sat.)

I believe it is solid. Hopefully Paul Schreiber holds true as the home umpire. Also:

CLEMENT is 3-4 when starting against ST LOUIS with an ERA of 4.11 and a WHIP of 1.343.
His team's record is 4-7 (-3.1 units) in these starts. The UNDER is 5-6. (-1.7 units)

JEFF SUPPAN vs. CHICAGO CUBS since 1997
SUPPAN is 1-2 when starting against CHICAGO CUBS with an ERA of 4.26 and a WHIP of 1.547.
His team's record is 2-3 (-1.0 units) in these starts. The UNDER is 3-2. (+1.1 units)

Ya, thought we were in good shape after two; didn't know both teams were going to go to sleep after that; looking to make a big play tonight...reallly like the pitching matchup in Texas - Rogers stats are impressive and the Rangers bats should wake up v Lowe. Thinking of parlaying that up w/ the White Sox who should jump all over this weak Mariners club.

(with how cold i've been you should play the Red sox and Mariners though)
