off local radio....

Cubs right now making trade for Rich HarHarHarden.

(probably) All major league players invloved so line ups may definitely change for both teams involved.

may see some line movement off the chart

off the net from two hours ago...

The Cubs continue to look for pitching, just as they were before the Brewers secured Sabathia's services. Oakland's Rich Harden is believed to be No. 1 on the Cubs' wish list now that Sabathia is off the market.

The A's have tremendous leverage in any talks involving Harden, on whom they hold a $7 million club option for 2009 (without a buyout), so they're asking for a return package similar to the six-player haul they got from the Diamondbacks in the offseason deal that sent Dan Haren to Arizona. But Harden is viewed as a significant injury risk, as he's been on the DL six times since the start of 2005, and the Cubs are unlikely to pony up a Haren-type price for him.

I;ve heard the talks about getting him but didn't think they had fired on it.

We need another starter. I'd prefer trying to go after Tim Hudson or even though I wouldnt really like it a Greg Maddux. What about Roy Holliday?

SEAN GALLAGHER will probably be part of the deal, maybe multi-team interchange transaction.

I like the trade a lot. Patterson and Murton never truly fit in the lineup especially Murton. I'd like to see who the prospect is but it seems pretty fair. Hope he stays healthy

Jim Hendry is the man by the way. Now go and get me Grady Sizemore or Brian Roberts and I'll never talk again

That's a good question. I guess they could split starts for a while I mean come playoffs (if we make it) and he is healthy a Zambrano-Dempster-Harden rotation is sweet

I believe Marquis M.O. for the 2nd half of each season is a big time drop off. They would never rely on him for much from here on out. He could be a good tool in a future trade for what they need, IMO more help in th pen possibly a closer.

I have always liked Wood. But he won't cut it.
