I agree with g-man this total is there for a reason and if it was me I would play the under or no play at all.

don't be shocked if the under doesn't get banged hard right before game time when people see the conditions on t.v. 20 mph+ winds from the north. with wind chill it will be in the teens for this game. got a feeling players will just want to get this one over with quickly. at least i hope.
dont get me wrong- 6.5 as a total leaves no room for error, so anything is possible, but its still "under or pass".
ive seen sosa really hammer a ball, only to have it be a routine fly to center when the wind is blowing in at wrigley.
conversely, when the wind is blowing out and the linesmaker sets the total at 11.5 or so, even when kerry wood is on the mound- youll see .240 hitters hit routine pop flies that carry....and carry.....and carry...all the way into the stands for a home run.
wrigley totals are wacky, and the fact that theyre off the board until game day (as opposed to being posted overnight) says something in itself. it is truly one park where the wind off the lake has an enormous impact on the outcome.

I can't find my numbers from last year right now but last year day game unders at wrigley where a very good bet. people see a 6' and say no way the over is too easy. not at wrigley. but especially today I see a great under play here. bats will be cold, hands will be cold and it is going to sting when they make contact.Unless some wacky errors happen this total doesn't get over 5 IMO.

Clement had ZERO control in his first start. If those problems persist today, with walks and wild pitches alone he'll giftwrap a couple of runs to Montreal.
Game will land on either 7 or 8..... It looks to me that the low line is just a middle shot. Those guys that where buying the hell out of the 8? bought it all the way down to a number they can middle... Just a guess but I will take my chances

You won't see two games a year at less than 7 runs in that park, and I would advise being very careful with this one.
(Plus.......it would break your heart to see a 4-4 game after 3 innings, and have it called in the 7th, due to bad weather!)

Took the under for a very small chunk. Just seems a little obvious that they wanted Over money in a big way. With that said though, it is baseball and anything can happen. Couple breaks and any total can be reached. gl to all.
