Cubs trade for Cotts from Sox

The Cubs pick up Cotts a lefty from the Sox. I just hope he can pitch like he did in the first half last year. The Cubs say they aren't done yet and I hope so after winning only 66 games last year. I think Pierre is gone so they better ante up and get Sorianno. They also need some batters who don't strike out as much. Pitching will be shaky. Bullpen should be good. Wood (who has been on DL more than played) in the bullpen and Prior the Puss (who can't pitch when a mosquito bites his arm) can't be counted on. Alot of questions for next year.

He had a good year last year and the Cubs need somebody who gets walks and gets on base. I can't even begin to count how many players the Cubs picked up after having a good year and then tank. Plus he had the injury bug I believe for a couple years it seemed. He opted out for a reason and that was for more cash so I hope they don't overpay for him if they get him. They need more help than just him but would be a good start.

The White Sox dealt left-hander Neal Cotts to the Cubs on Thursday for right-hander David Aardsma and minor league left-hander Carlos Vasquez.

I've heard they were looking at Drew prior to the Soriano signing. I can't see them laying out another $13-$15 mill a year for him. I also read that they were looking at Cliff Floyd:nooo: :nooo:
