from yesterday's AP writeup;
Lieber and Oswalt pitched well, but neither
got a decision after going just five innings. It
was too hot to pitch any longer. Humidity
made it feel as if it were 106 degrees.
``We were out there giving 100 percent on
every throw. That's the difference between
pitchers and fielders,'' said Oswalt, who
threw 97 pitches. ``You give 100 percent for
80 to 90 throws, it's like doing 80 to 90
sprints.''
Oswalt said he tried to cool down between
innings by staying in the dank tunnel that runs from the Astros dugout to the clubhouse. Lieber
could take advantage of an air-conditioned room near the Cubs' dugout.
Once he got back on the field, Oswalt said he tried to finish as quickly as possible.
``With this type of weather, you have to try and have short innings,'' Oswalt said. ``I felt good early,
but I hit a wall by the fourth.''

it is too long from the visiting team dugout to clubhouse for them to cool off in any Air Conditioning.
