Cuse -2 over Ok St
Big play on the Cuse today.I know Cuse starts 2 freshmen and 2 sophs and OSU starts 3 seniors and 2 juniors.Makes no difference.
It's zone vs man,its pressure defense of the B-12 vs explosive offense of the BE.
OSU other then V.Williams is not a very good offensive team.No big men inside and 3 pt offense is average. They beat the Texas's,OU's and Mizzou's with their pressure full court defense creating turnovers.Look what they did to Penn. That is Suttons main offense...defense.
Well the Cuse has some ballhandlers that will be able to protect the ball and attack the hoop.Mac and Edelin will be a major problem for the Cowboys. And all the Cuse wings like Duany,Carmelo and Warrick can put the ball down.
Cuse has more size inside even though Forth and McNeil are stiffs.Everyone can slash to the hoop and Duany,Carmelo,Mac and co. can bang a jumper.Double teaming Anthony is an answer to slow him down but with the addition of Edelin, Boe makes you pay a price. The key of this game is Edelin.Mac and his jumpers and Carmelo get so much press.Warrick and Duany are those 6'6 and 6'8 greyhounds rebounding and slashing. But watch Billy today.Don't forget he was the NY HS Player of the Yr 2 yrs ago.
OSU has lost 5 of its last 8 games 2 of its last 4.Sanders will gd Carmelo and he has stopped many stars in the B-12.But he has never guarded a 6'8 pt gd,2-shooting gd,3-wingman,4-power foward and a 5 post men wrapped into one.Allen is solid as Williams partner at the gd spot but is inconsistent.
OSU plays 3 gds and McFarlin and A.Williams at foward. Both are not scorers but 6'8 bangers.
Boes 2-3 zone should cause problems for the Cowboys. They don't have a great inside game and there outside shooting is average. To score pts they must create pts on D and it ain't happening with Billy and McNamara.

Like the Cuse here big time. The problem with the Cuse is they can't put anyone away. They will struggle and keep it close but win by 6-8 pts like the manhattan game.Cuse ATS is 7-2 in last 9 and OSU is 3-10 in last 13.
Boe moves on.

Will be back later for a few small plays. But love the Cuse today....

Only playing Cuse big today.
Playing Wake,Pitt,Texas,XU,and Butler in some small parlays.

But like LaTech -20 over Pepperdine in the Womens NCAA's.
Lady Tech's were 29-2 and seeded 5th.Big time diss to a program that has won 27 straight. There playing at home and Pepperdine is no match for them.Ford is the WAC player of the yr and they just shut down teams on defense.

St Francis +21 over Nova
Nova is still celebrating Conn upset.St Fran plays great defense and their best defensive player is from my HS.Maybe not an upset but I've been following them all yr.

UCSB -5 over XU
Santa barb always plays great defense. They win by 10-20 pts.

Just thought I would capp a few womans games. They play better defense and offense from a coaches standpoint.Nova-St Fran game on ESPN. Watch for Tonjee...
Had a great time at the NY State hall of fame inductions.
Howie Garfinkel of 5-Stars was inducted.Later on will recap the ceremony.
Coach Jimmy McDermott former coach at Iona and founder of the MAAC conf and great HS from LaSalle Academy gave a speech. Is is 93 yrs old.He said" I played HS basketball in NYC from 1923-1926.When we scored a basket we had a jump ball everytime".
Be back later.....

HOPE YOU'RE RIGHT

HOPE YOU'RE RIGHT

BOX,
Billy E. struggled vs Manhatten handling the ball especially in the first half. That's why Anthony brought the ball up most of the 2nd half. Duane needs to step up. I agee that Forth is a stiff but don't put McNeil in his class. McN'S problem is that he tries to block EVERY shot. I hope you're right in your prediction but remember UConn beat S.U. twice with pressure in your face defense. S.U. must limit the turnovers. GO ORANGE.

hey box

hey box

great call on 'Cuse, cant believe they won going away, after I woke up and saw 27-10 here on west coast  ...

FWIW, our HS squad made state after winning 4 straight grueling loser outs, then pulled off big upset in opener at state, beating #2 ranked team, then we had 5 pt lead after 3rd Q for game into semis and fell short (we got Johnny Johnson's kid, ex sonic 3 man in championship run--hes our PG, great kid a soph) ...

wish I woulda seen your Cuse pick

if you ever love something email me at pt1gard@aol.com if you think about it

take care my man, hope you won a bundle

In womans also played
Texas tech -23 over SW Mizzou-playing at home
K-State -27 over Harvard...KSU has 2 of the best front court players in the nation together in Ohlde and Wecker.Harvard will find out winning 16 str. in the Ivy is a little different winning on the road vs B-12 teams.KSU is at home also.

Siena +1 over W.Mich
Karawanga is in a big time slump.Hopefully he awakens tonite.L'box just spent 2 days at Siena with her best friend.Thur nite she went out dancing to a club in Albany.Haddix was hitting on her.She danced with him once.Said he "didn't look that big for a star basketball player".He's lucky I didn't blow a whistle for "hand checking".Wish I would of asked her to get inside info.

Was never in doubt today watching the Orange.Knew they would come back....sure.....Cannot believe how bad they played. But like I said OSU offense was terrible. They should of put the Cuse away many times. It was an ugly win but a sweet one.

pt gd..my e-mail is down but I'll write you.Poor-B,Bear,K-dog,thanks
Tor-V-I'll watch you with the ladies.
Bluelight..maybe your right about McNeil.I might of overstated the "stiff" comment. But Forth is one.I watched your CBA HS team play last week.
GL tonite.All small plays..tonite

Box- Good call on the Cuse, glad to see them advance. If Pace and McNeil continue to play like they have, they can play with just about anyone. Might have to make a trek up to Albany and try and grab some tickets.

Box,

Nice win with the OrangeMen.

I was on Ok State and I feel bad for Eddie Sutton. You can do a lot of things for your team to get them ready.....

except shoot.
