Cuse -5 over Auburn
Playing in Albany is a big advantage.It's like a home court or them.Cuse is a type of a team that drives you crazy.They can't put anyone away.They will lead,then blow the lead and play haphazardly[sp]esp. in the 1st half.
But they have so much talent.Not going to repeat everything I've said about them since November.
Edelin like I said last week was the key.He delivered putting 2 great games together up in Boston.Carmelo,Mac,Duany,Warrick,etc are outstanding.Their 2-3 defense spreads out pushing teams further away from the hoop.Cuse will have trouble with teams that have good outside shooters,scoring post player,and a good passing team.
Auburn has none of the above.Daniels is outstanding.Killingsworth,Monroe,etc have stepped up there game.But they are not a good offensive team and going against a zone will cause problems.They don't shoot the 3 very well and most importantly they are not a good passing team.
Boe knows this and will adjust the 2-3.Auburns defense held Wakes gds to 11 pts.Bird is a big time stopper on D holding WF's Howard down.But Auburn will have to many matchup problems.Again Edelin will come off the bench and ignite them.
I like the Cuse here by 10 pts.And Boe would love to run it up if he can for Seton hall and Boston Col.Everyone feels the NCAA overlooked the BE and took a weak Auburn over them.Winning by 20 would show the world.But of course Auburn has that "we don't belong,we''ll show you" attitude.
Home crowd,a 2-3 zone thats hard to prepare for,Carmelo who has been quiet scoring 17 and 13 pts so far and Billy E.......
Texas -2.5 over Conn
What a game this is.Spent so much time on it and I call it even.Either team can win.A slight lean to Texas becuse of TJ and home court.Playing it lightly because Conn could win just as easily.
Butler +7 over OU
Might be a strecth.OU is more physical,bigger and plays defense.Maybe OU is up and rests Hollis and Butler covers the number.OU if there playing there "A" game beats Butler's "A" by 10 or more pts.But Butler's been playing there "A+" game.Another small lean to Butler.
Maryland -3 over Mich St
Can't see Mich St scoring pts but they do.Izzo has some magic.MSU plays great D but I think Terps vets step up
