Cut a guy a small break can ya?

Certainly not hard to figure out by some of my short tempered posts that I have a high stress job, real high stress. Good job, I like it alot and hope to retire from this company, one of the biggest in the country. Recently things have been real rough there but the good news is I am now on vacation for a week!! Good to shut it down for a few days and not worry about things and sure enough I get a call bright and early this morning that all hell has broken loose. Nothing I can do about it now but worry about it while we are gone. LEAVE ME ALONE FOR 9 DAYS CAN YA! Give a guy a break for crying out loud, isn't the 50 hours a week you get from me enough already????!!!???

Agree with s - I am in a similar situation, do not take your cell phone I am sure the wife has one use hers, some good books and NO COMPUTER. Typically takes me about 3 days to start to decompress. GL

don't give it a thought. enjoy your vacation while you can. whether you worry about it or not won't change it so choose not to. it'll be there when you get back, deal with it then.

You guys are right, I'm not sure if I am more upset that things are going berzerk or the fact that they called me on vacation to tell me about it. It'll be hard not to make any bets on vacation Smurphy since I'm staying in a casino, but I'll try, NOT!

I really do need a break from real life for a while, can't hurt.
