I know this belongs in the fan forum just wanted to say congrats...

Just got back from the game... Great win.

Henne was just awesome! Some of the throws he was making in that game were very impressive. Of course, it helps that ND's defensive line is terrible and can?t get any pressure without blitzing. It finally looks like he has bounced back from his sophomore year and is living up to all of the hoopla coming out of high school.

Morningham had a field day with single coverage from our corners. What a great talent...

This was the one game on the schedule I was worried about and it became a nightmare. ND LB's are just too small and will continue to struggle against the run all year. Any team we play who has a balanced attack will give ND lots of problems. Any team with a balanced attack will force Minter to choose to bring the safeties up to help against the run, like yesterday, or keep them deep to help out on over the top coverage.

I've been to many ND/Michigan games and everyone fan I have met at Notre Dame Stadium have always showed tremendous class. They had every opportunity to rub it in yesterday, but choose to remain respectful. GL on the rest of the year.

Thanks DD, it was nice to finally see the boys win a big game again (its been a while). Classy move on your part going out of the way to make this post.

3rd trip to South Bend, and wow what a different feeling from start to finish of the trip. ND fans are much better at being underdogs than favorites! I actually had one guy come up to me and apologize in advance for the a$$ whipping ND was about to give Michigan. :mj07: Much like my previous trips, though, the majority of the ND fans were very cool and accomodating to the visiting fans.

One thing that truly shocked me was the god-like treatment of Charlie down there. Wow, 9-3, get your rear kicked in the bowl game, and you get your mug put on the back of the official 2006 t-shirt with knute rockney and the four hoursemen?!?!? I understand he seems like he's going to be a good coach, but let's let him actually do something special before annointing him the next Parcells.

Onto Michigan, this team certainly has a lot of potential if they continue to stay healthy. There is a lot of NFL talent on this team. English has the kids playing very fast on defense and Henne is quietly turning into a top end field general. I do think they have to improve on the running game (ND actually did a pretty good job stuffing the running game, 2.9 ypc) if they want to make a run at the big one.
