Why does the SEC have a below .500 record against BCS teams out of conference? SEC teams lose more than half their games against BCS teams outside their conference. But the SEC is supposed to be so tough? So superior? THE BEST! Right? :shrug:

Give me a fawkig break buddy...SEC is the best conference I won't agrue against that but OSU is clear cut the best team in the country...their on the verge of beating three #2 ranked teams in one season...that has never been done before...this team is a clear cut #1 and they belong...OSU and Mich would beat an LSU, Auburn, Arky,Tenn, FL...your right the SEC is stacked with GOOD teams but their far from the ELITE...By the way the two best teams in the country are in the same conference but thats right the Big Ten sucks...We'll see how the SEC does in their Bowls...I'm sure we'll see them below .500 again...I just want to point out how Auburn last year got beat by Wiscy in thier bowl game...And let me highlight that Auburn last year also had the best in-conference record in the SEC who got beat by the third or fourth best team in the Big Ten...

I know there are still two games left for both teams but right now every "expert" on college football is calling USC's schedule the most difficult in the country. They were allowed to jump Florida two weeks ago when Florida was struggling with S. Carolina and USC was pounding Oregon. I'm an LSU fan btw but just feel some things are getting overlooked in USC's favor (as usual).

I used the AP poll for the rankings and removed D2 Western Carolina from Florida's schedule since they are playing 1 more game than USC.

As you can see currently Florida should be ranked higher than USC. Better opponent winning %, more bowl teams, higher rank average amongst ranked team, and USC's loss was to a lesser team than Florida's.

I think it's very possible if Florida beats Arkansas in the SECCG that they will jump USC in the computers but the voters will offset whatever increase they get.

Don't SEC teams rack up wins against $hitty OOC teams? Don't SEC teams play most of their OOC games @home? How many 1aa and "non" BCS teams do SEC teams schedule?

I agree with you that Florida should be in over USC...they were sort of homered by the fumble against Auburn and hey if Florida rolled the table with that schedule I'd put them over OSU...

the second seed is a toss up but I don't think it really matters come Jan 8th because OSU is taking this one home...And OSU would take care of any of those teams listed in the SEC in that championship game...I hope OSU does play Florida so I can laugh how the best team in the SEC got waxed in the championship game...I said it once and I'll say it again...the SEC is loaded with good teams but they fall short of the elite status...


The real deal is the SEC hurts its self by playing a conference champ and no significant OOC games...thats fine go ahead and let them beat each other up while we can all point and laugh with ever year they get snuffed...

Its a conference that's stacked with a bunch a mediocre teams and every year the conference falls short of having a team reach an elite status...not that it would be easy but OSU/Mich could win out in that conference...
