I said Wednesday's game would not effect the outcome of today's USC-Clempson game. I was wrong. Jack ass Leggett's comments definitely fired up USC and we waxed the Tigers.
Anyway, I know Simmons is waiting for us and it will be extremely difficult. I don't even know who we are going to pitch yet. The fact that our pitcher today threw a complete game certainly helps though.
Any insight on Texas, Simmons style, etc. would be appreciated. GL.

well got the hotter hitting team to win today out of the 2 futures i had left posted in first post of this thread,well going to ride it and not buy any back,sc hitting the ball and the complete game was huge.

Good luck on the game today, it should be a great battle. UT's incredible pitching staff & defense vs. SC's bats & defense. As a SC fan, it's not everyday that you get to play for a national championship in any of the big 3 sports, I only hope we keep it close and make it interesting.

By the way, no word as to who will start today for SC. I've heard it will either be Chris Spigner, David Marchbanks, or true freshman Aaron Rawl. At this point I think the lean is to Spigner.

Simmons has a style similar to TOM GLAVINE with the Braves.... not overpowering but has good stuff and great location....If he doesnt get those outside strikes this game could be over quickly the way SC is swinging the bat right now.....Glad to see we are matched up....I had SC and HORNS as my top 2 teams to win it all....cant ask for much more than that!
