The Bowling Green Falcons are still very much alive in the MAC East race. They are currently in second place (4-1), just one game behind Buffalo for the top spot within the division. Ohio's loss to Buffalo last week really put a damper on its chances to win the division as it currently sits at 3-2 in the MAC. Mentally, that's a huge advantage for the Falcons heading into this one.

Physically, there's no question that Bowling Green is the superior team. Its three losses have come against BCS opponents Indiana and Mississippi State on the road, as well as Toledo at home. Its last two losses came by a combined four points, so this is very close to being an 8-1 team right now.

Bowling Green is putting up 31.3 points and 451.0 yards per game to rank 41st in the country in total offense. It is giving up just 16.9 points and 342.9 yards per game to rank 18th in total defense. Matt Johnson is having a solid year at quarterback, completing 65.6 percent of his passes for 2,079 yards with 12 touchdowns and four interceptions. However, Travis Greene has been the real deal at running back, rushing for 1,018 yards and five touchdowns on 6.1 per carry.

Ohio was thoroughly beaten at Buffalo by a final of 30-3 last Tuesday. It was outgained 233-421 in the loss. It gave up 252 rushing yards, which was the third time in the past four games that it has allowed 208-plus yards on the ground. Bowling Green is averaging 195 yards per game and 4.7 per carry rushing this season, so it should have its way on the ground in this one.

Plays on home favorites of 3.5 to 10 points (BOWLING GREEN) - after a win by 35 or more points are 70-34 (67.3%) ATS over the last 10 seasons. Ohio is 0-7 against the spread in its last seven road games after three consecutive games where it committed one or less turnovers. Bowling Green is 7-0 against the number off a win by 21 or more points over the last two seasons. Bet Bowling Green Tuesday.
