LaFrentz out with sprained ankle
Dallas Mavericks forward-center Raef LaFrentz will miss three to six weeks with a sprained right ankle, the team announced on Monday. LaFrentz suffered the injury in the third quarter of Saturday's 97-83 victory over the Phoenix Suns. In the first two games, he averaged 10.0 points and 3.5 rebounds. Overall, LaFrentz averaged 13.5 points, 7.4 rebounds and a career-high 2.73 blocks in 78 games last season, his fourth in the NBA.
