I think it will be interesting to watch the Mavericks over the first couple of weeks of the season. It is painfully apparent that this team has no defense whatsoever. Sure, they are playing the Lakers who are loaded with talent. However, there is absolutely no consistency in the Dallas defense. They weren't that good last year, and they have added new pieces to the puzzle. I am sure it is going to take some time before this team starts playing team defense.

It will be a tough first couple of weeks for mavs fans. 
They will improve. I did see some new plays in the offense that were more in the paint type of plays. If the mavs shoot the % from downtown that they do night in and night out, the game would of been different. LA looked good. They made everything they humped over. Should be a fun season to see what powerhose team comes to the top. It is a shame the east will not be able to keep up.

if there was ever more of a desparity between east and west it is now...holy crap will the east get smoked...i just don't think it deserves any more words than...the west wins
