I can't wait to see James guard Nowitzke, the prospect of that alone has me psyched for this final.Miami's d vs Dallas's o will be worth watching.I don't see dallas'd being as effective as Miami's,but I look for the big three to log major minutes.Dallas 13-2 vs spread playoffs to date and Miami is 10-5.Both have 9 overs and 6 unders which leads me to believe there will be more unders than overs in this series, teams usually end up closer to even than that.there have now been 38 overs and 38 unders going into the finals.30 home favorites have covered vs 31 road dogs.early in the playoffs there were 10 more unders than overs and more than 10 more road dog covers than home favorites.the reason I track this is when you get an imbalance in something early in the playoffs like that,it always ends up getting more close to evenly balanced by the end, which gives the player a slight edge.I like MIA minus 4- in game one and will look hard at the total, its under or nothing for me there.

Been a very competitive playoffs in the NBA

This series is going to be a good one. Hard to tell which team will step up and play like they have to and take the trophy.

Miami should be able to do this but Dallas has been awesome taking out the Lakers and such.

I dont think James will keep Dirk from scoring his 30 points a game.

First two games are in Miami.

I am thinking that Dallas and the +4 might be a good wager for me.

At least I think they will get points

I know this dont have much to do with anything.

But I would like the NBA to stop something that goes on in NBA games.

And that is the hand slapping after every foul shot. Its so stupid. It holds up the game if even for ten seconds.

Make a foul shot. Glad hand goes on for all four players. When did this start ? They never used to do that ?

I say impose a technical on any player that does this and stop this moronic waste of time and effort.

and they even do it if they miss the foul shot.

I just don't get it.

Scott- With you on the hand slapping after fouls. One of the funniest clips I've seen recently was when one of Kevin Loves teammates refused to touch hands with him after a foul shot, really hurt Loves feelings apparently. As to the finals,I am reconsidering the side play for several days,my book doesn't carry the game until monday, and I in retrospect have to be impressed with Dallas's chemistry in the playoffs, they answer every big play by their opponents with two of their own it seems. Seeing the total at 186- I may opt to play just the under in the first game and not play a side. This series should be a lot of fun from a pure fan perspective,gl with whatever you choose to play..............ludes

What I am thinking about is that Miami has played from behind alot in their playoff series.

Then they have come back when teams get cold in the fourth quarter.

I am thinking Dallas will not run cold as consistant as they are. If Miami plays that catch up game in the first one then :

Dallas can continue to pour in buckets and that just might toss the cookie to the Mavs in game one.

Have to think the public play is with Miami.

Havnt checked the line yet....

maybe not out yet

The championship contenders in our league all emphasize defense; they start there,? said one Eastern Conference GM. ?That?s the only way you win in this league. Everyone else is just pretending.?

The Heat have always emphasized defense, at least from the first day that Pat Riley arrived in 1995. Spoelstra has carried on the tradition.

It?s in our DNA,? Dwyane Wade said during the Chicago series.

That appealed to James, who has always recognized the fact that defense wins titles. The Heat were already a very good defensive team before he decided to go to Miami. Then they got themselves a player who this season was named first team All-Defense for the third straight year. No wonder Miami has been putting on a defensive clinic in these close-out games.

?We felt like we could get stops in the fourth quarter,? James said after the Heat delivered their Game 5 knockout punch in the United Center. ?That?s what we build on. We build on getting fourth-quarter stops.?

The series will long be remembered for James volunteering to guard Rose at the end of Game 4, and twice stopping the MVP on isolation plays. Then there was Game 5, with the Bulls totally paralyzed down the stretch.

It?s funny. When the Big Three joined forces, the rest of the league worried about stopping Wade, James and Chris Bosh. But that?s not how Miami?s superstars saw it.

?When we talked about playing together, that?s really all we talked about, how we would be as a defensive team,? Wade said. ?We didn?t talk about how we would look as an offense. We talked about what we would do at the defensive end of the court and how good we could be.?

Upstairs watching sports on the big TV.
opened at 5 at my books..

opened at 5 at my books..

I just seen the line

Dallas +4.5

:toast:
For the sake of discussion;

worries me they dangled 5 points out there with the offensive fire power Dallas has...almost saying "Take our money", please...

currently 4'

Miami seemed to coast for many of the games till fourth quarter...then they started clamping down and Le choke would go off.
Could it be with Pat Riley's
coaching that they have found their team chemistry and just go thru the motions, keeping it close till late in games?

Dallas had a fairly easy road vs a crappy Lakeshow and a feisty but flawed OKC?

I have Dallas 4-1 to win it all, hoping the veterans get the rings....

If Miami could run up the score they would.

No NBA teams like it to be close in 4th qtr

Frankly I dont hold out much hope for Dallas to be able to win the Final.

This is Miami time

But they sure can win a few games.
