Bad choice for Mets, you can't send a relief pitcher to start a game like this, your better off starting Perez for an inning and then bringing Darren Oliver in, this will screw up his whole routine by starting the game, he has started a game in 6 years. Oliver Perez looked good his last game, they should give him another shot.
