A few minutes later, pitching coach Dave Eiland appeared to collapse in the dugout and was taken into the clubhouse. The team said later that Eiland felt dizzy and lost his balance. After being examined by Angels team physician Craig Milhouse and cleared, Eiland was said to be up and moving around the clubhouse. Bullpen coach Mike Harkey served as pitching coach the remainder of the contest.
