Why does he do it ? what is the purpose ? no cause ? Seems like he could pick something he believes in and then try to make a differance with it.
In America if your name is recognizable by a large percentage of households that equates to big time cash.
I am sure he is already a millionaire even though it does not appear his stunts are funded with large green. What goes on behind the scenes is where the money is made.
He has to be one of the best illusionists out there. I have pretty much seen them all. Even though you know stuff is fake and trickery , slight of hand, he still amazes me. enough said.

I really have no clue how he would be a millionaire. Other than a couple of specials on HBO & ABC ( I think ), has he had sponsors for the other stunts he has done? I do know he is a p**sy millionaire as confirmed by Howard Stern! I think he is a Houdini fanatic and his goal is to live in some sort of infamy like his idol. I would have been more impressed if he had gotten some 300 lb. chick to stay up there 44 days...that's just me though.

I would estimate that a entertainer doing a HBO special would be paid in the range of 350 K to 750 K .
Maybe our screen writer pal Nick Douglas will come in and verify the pay scale for a HBO special. Nick is a friend of that Jackass guy and he probably knows David Blaine personally.
