Mets first base top prospect Ike Davis has been scratched from Triple-A Buffalo's lineup and is thought to be on his way to Citi Field.
Davis, 23, could very well be starting (and making his major league debut) Monday evening against the Cubs. It's an exciting story, but expectations should be tempered. After all, the kid has yet to register a single major league at-bat and the Mets have far more problems than one transaction can fix. A corresponding move should be announced shortly.
