Been lurking here the last couple of weeks, and like the input/opinions from y'all, so I thought I would share a bit...and I also have some questions.
Made my first bet on an NFL game in about a year yesterday, taking the Browns with the points. Had I known Nolan liked the game also, I might have bet more. What time do your picks show up here, anyways, Nolan? And do you still do your internet radio gig? If so, you should promo it along with your stuff in the free picks section.

Football season is about the best time of the year for me. On Sundays, I have a standing date with my wife of nearly 17 years to go check out the games at a local establishment, a regular neighborhood type place, that has multiple satellite dishes and 18 TV sets in a roughly 30" x 60' area. Everybody knows everybody, we have strip cards going on the games, the proprietor puts out a nice spread at halftime of the early game, everything is good on Sundays.
My wife, however, has a problem. She's a Vikings fan. After Randy Moss', ahem, "indescretion" this past week, she was reticent to go out in public wearing her Moss jersey, knowing the type of flack she would receive. We tried to pick up a Culpepper shirt, to no avail, as the fashion-concious spouse wants a white road jersey, not easily attainable on demand outside of the Twin Cities.
But, Sheri is quite a sport, and decided to wear Randy's new "prison number" (which we determined to be 8675309, for additional comic relief) taped over the 84 on her jersey. I also took a couple of mug-shot-style pics, and printed them out to hang up in the bar. Check them out:
Well, she got a lot of laughs, but while viewing the late game, she had enough, and ended up turning her jersey inside-out and repudiating the whole Vikings' team. Ahh...fair-weather fandom...who'd a thunk it?
