Let me start out by saying that I'm a HUUUGGGE KC fan!!
That being said, I've been totally disgusted by their play in the past 3 weeks. When they hit 8 wins I think they knew they were in the playoffs with the schedule they had left. They've put themselves on cruise control, hoping for no injuries. Obviously, the O is in tact, but the D is short of LB's.
I had this game circled when I checked their last 8 games, bc I knew if they were undefeated when this game came up that this would be the game that they would give up. Yes, they do have home field to play for, but if the Jets win tonight and Miami wins at NE next week, then Home field should be no problem with our remaining schedule. DET @ H, MINNY ON RD, & CHICAGO @ H. There's no reason on God's green earth that they can't go 2-2 to finish this season 13-3.
Sorry, got off track a little bit. I would have to side with you guys on this week's game. Denver has it's playoff life riding on this game and KC will try and come out of it w/o to many injuries. I would also have to agree with Gardenwiesel on the fact that Portis should go off this week. With KC's LB's banged up, the front 4 will have to stop him b4 he gets going, and nobody has done that this yr. to Portis. No big hitter's in the corner or safety position either. However, they make up for it with their opportunistic play. KC's tops in the league in TO margin.
By the way, the fact that Green appears to be an avg. QB is bc dipshits like Morton and Kennison can't catch a cold. I look for Hall to be much more involved in the O as the season wears on. Green complete's 62% of his passes with 19td and 9 int's and a 91.8 QB rating. I would have to say that he's a little above avg.
Green and Holmes remind me of another Duo that seemed unstoppable. Aikman's accuracy and Smith's running won a few championships. and I faintly remember a TE that helped Dallas along the way named JAY NOVACHEK. So, if my TE is the best receiver on the field, then I don't mind as long as he's the best in the League!
GO CHIEFS!!!!
