Hippo...What "vulnerablilities" have the Cavs exposed in this series?? I am not trying to be a bitch, just curious.
everyone always touts the pistons as having one of the best half court games... but do they? in the last two games, the cavs have slowed the pace down and it has been a "use-all-the-shotclock" half court style game. in reality, the pistons have the 19th ranked offense in the league - not that great.... they won a lot of games this season by pushing the ball in flipper's new offense, but they have hit a roadblock against the cavs. now i'm not saying that the cavs are going to win this series - they will probably get POUNDED in detroit tomorrow, but they have won the half court game vs the pistons and their competition is not going to get any easier from here. the heat, mavs, spurs, & clippers all have a better half court game than the pistons in my opinion. they have no offensive post presence, so they end up settling for a lot of jump shots, and against good defensive & rebounding teams, that is not going to work (the cavs held them to 33.3% & 39.4% from the field in the last two games). the pistons struggle offensively in the post (i'm pretty sure ben wallace can only dunk) and surprisingly they struggle rebounding as well (18th in the league). when i think about the pistons, i always imagine a dominate frontcourt (wallaces), but are they really that great??? and their bench SUCKS
the pistons don't have that emotional edge that they did two years ago. i haven't felt it from them all year... compared to a team like dallas that is brimming with confidence and emotion. it seems like they gave up too much emotionally through the season and now they don't have it for the playoffs. the question is - will they wake up? i don't see it happening this year...
after watching the dallas game last night, i don't see ANYONE beating them this year.... :SIB
