wow, they easily could be 0-4 on rd. vs basically mediocre teams; esp. with Hughes out ... Great job down the stretch Deet, cant score, over penetrate, and dont save any Time-outs ... Blow fairly sizeable leads in 4q both games in Cleveland ... Don't kid yourself, they are no lock for the crown like everyone seems to think

Had them on ML parlay and actually had to laugh at their pathetic play down the stretch

here come all the "i told you so's"

relax, detroit has plenty left, and will easily win the east. the finals may be a bit tougher. i like how they lose 2 games on the road and all of a sudden everyone comes out with these bullshit.

take it easy, come on. its 2-2. i heard the same shit last year and the year before when they faces elimanation games against the heat and nets, and what happened? wait till they lose before running the mouths.

well i posted at the beggining of the playoffs started that i liked the pacers to win the east (obviously i was wrong there) and that i thought the pistons would not make it to the finals.... so it is not just because they lost 2 games, but the cavs are a much better team than the bucks and they are exposing the pistons vulnerability. and even though the cavs are much better, they are not GREAT and the pistons should have beat them today.

but i've been known to be wrong before ;)

we shall see

heat vs mavs FINALS

i just think they still have "enough" to win the east, and i dont like the talk after losing 2 road games against a good defensive team. ive heard it before

Yes, the Pistons will be there. Detroit will win this series 4-2. Miami will be lucky to win more than one game against the Pistons in the conference finals. Detroit and Dallas for the prize!

The Pistons are a better team than the Cavs, without a doubt. Cavs are out hustling them, so desire looks to be the issue here. Of course, home court always helps.
I agree with an earlier post that the Pistons win the next two.

Hippo...What "vulnerablilities" have the Cavs exposed in this series?? I am not trying to be a bitch, just curious.

PUt some dough on DET because those cuban dallas boys got no chance against the D

take your blinders off

dallas is feeling it right now, however, everyone seems to be sleeping on the other west matchup. Dallas is no lock against the clips or suns, favored by a lot sure, but no lock. Both those teams pose a real threat to dallas or the spurs. If the spurs win game 5, look out because dallas will feel the pressure to win game 6 and I see a game 7 in this series future. Do not make the mistake of counting out the spurs, they could take 3 in a row from the mavericks like the suns did to the lakers or like those very mavericks just did to the spurs (by the skin of their teeth). and by the way Spursdynasty, that call at the end of game 4 was bullshit. The refs have to make dallas earn a trip to the line in that situation. At least make the call with dirk shooting. That being said, that call did NOT lose the game for the spurs, it tied the game and your boy Timmy missed a shot that he probably should have made at the buzzer. duncan should have owned dampier or drawn a foul himself. they still could have won in overtime. your quote at the top here reeks of bitterness.

I also hope the spurs win game 5 and 6 because a game 7 in this series would be great television. this has been a hard fought series and by far the best we will see in these playoffs IMO. The nba is so boring until the end of the 4th quarter in most of these games and the games between the mavs and spurs have been great. especially the last 2 games. Back to the point of this thread...the west takes the championship this year. if detroit makes it from the east, the west will beat them in my opinion. FYI, I felt this way before they lost twice to the cavs and I would have felt this way if they had swept cleveland. Detroit is a veteran team that ran their car into the ground trying to attain home court for the finals during the regular season. They are tired, just like the spurs last nite in OT (parker could barely get up and down the court he was exhausted!!)

everyone always touts the pistons as having one of the best half court games... but do they? in the last two games, the cavs have slowed the pace down and it has been a "use-all-the-shotclock" half court style game. in reality, the pistons have the 19th ranked offense in the league - not that great.... they won a lot of games this season by pushing the ball in flipper's new offense, but they have hit a roadblock against the cavs. now i'm not saying that the cavs are going to win this series - they will probably get POUNDED in detroit tomorrow, but they have won the half court game vs the pistons and their competition is not going to get any easier from here. the heat, mavs, spurs, & clippers all have a better half court game than the pistons in my opinion. they have no offensive post presence, so they end up settling for a lot of jump shots, and against good defensive & rebounding teams, that is not going to work (the cavs held them to 33.3% & 39.4% from the field in the last two games). the pistons struggle offensively in the post (i'm pretty sure ben wallace can only dunk) and surprisingly they struggle rebounding as well (18th in the league). when i think about the pistons, i always imagine a dominate frontcourt (wallaces), but are they really that great??? and their bench SUCKS

the pistons don't have that emotional edge that they did two years ago. i haven't felt it from them all year... compared to a team like dallas that is brimming with confidence and emotion. it seems like they gave up too much emotionally through the season and now they don't have it for the playoffs. the question is - will they wake up? i don't see it happening this year...

after watching the dallas game last night, i don't see ANYONE beating them this year.... :SIB

also the way media & vegas has ruled out the heat to make it to the finals gives them extra motivation.......

i look for them to end their series tonight and with the pistons going at least 6 this should give their old men a little extra time to prepare......

How about that charge drawn by Duncan on Jordan - oopps i mean Dirk gets the blocking call... then the refs call a delay of game warning on finley for anohter free throw. Was it not f'n obvious, refs giving 3 free points away. Utter shame. Look I know when to admit defeat, if Dallas beat us straight up I would not be crying about this. BUt the refs have dicated crucial moments in both game 3 and game 4 for hte mavs favor. it is sickening.
