Update: Coach Mike Tomlin has named Dixon as the Steelers? Week 1 starting QB, Bob Pompeani of KDKA TV Sports reports.

Not a huge surprise here, as Dixon worked with the Steelers? first-team offense at Monday?s practice.

Donovan McNabb: (Ankle) Ready to Go


Update: Coach Mike Shanahan said Monday that McNabb (ankle) will play in Sunday night?s regular season opener against the Cowboys, the Washington Post reports.

The quarterback missed the Redskins? final two preseason games with an ankle injury, but on Monday any doubts about McNabb?s Week 1 availability were erased when Shanahan declared (of McNabb), ?he?s ready to go.?
